Toei Kyoto Studio Park

Toei Kyoto Studio Park is the only theme park in Japan where you can observe the filming of period dramas (jidaigeki films). Here you can walk freely around the Toei Kyoto Studio film set. This set depicts a street from the Edo period, and is used to shoot more than 200 films per year. Enjoy the atmosphere of ancient Japan by taking in a ninja show maybe even dressing up as a geisha or samurai. Kyoto City Zoo

The Kyoto City Zoo is the second oldest zoo in Japan and is a member of JAZA. The zoo is home up to 721 individual animals spanning over 175 species. The zoo has an wildlife rescue center that is operated in cooperation with Kyoto prefecture and Kyoto city, though it is not open to the public.

 

Kyoto Aquarium

Kyoto Aquarium is located quite a ways away from the ocean. Kyoto Aquarium aims to become a facility where people can learn about and interact with water resources and aquatic life while having fun, offering more than just the traditional aquarium experience of observing aquatic life and samples.
